POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking operational leader with a strong background in a casino/resort environment.  The ideal candidate will reside in Spokane and report directly to the Spokane Tribe Casino General Manager as an employee of Warner Gaming.  As the Director of Operations, the leader will work directly with property leadership and serve in a utility role to help drive results by identifying revenue and expense opportunities and acting upon them to drive income.  The ideal candidate must have experience working within a casino/resort environment but does not need to have been a gaming employee provided the employee has a strong understanding of gaming operations.

 

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Assist the General Manager to drive day-to-day operations across all departments.

  • Work with the Warner Gaming corporate team to maximize reporting tools to provide analytics where needed.

  • Assist property with all planning and analysis needs.

  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as requested by leadership.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting throughout the year.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Committed to coaching, teaching, and developing property staff.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited university required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working within a gaming facility.

  • Broad knowledge of all facets of gaming and related operational activities preferred.

  • Director level experience in a casino is preferred.

  • Experience working in a Tribal casino is preferred but not required.

  • Planning and Analysis experience preferred.

  • Ability to build comprehensive presentations and reports.

  • Proficient in office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, the candidate has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

 

  • Obtain and maintain proper licenses in Washington State and with the NIGC.

  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
